It followed a meeting at the Houses of Parliament, ahead of local elections last May, at which the co-founder of the Migrant Democracy Project, Lara Parizotto, made the case to MPs and Peers for all residents to have the right to vote in local elections. She also called for long-term residents (typically after five years) to have a right to vote in UK General Elections.

The All-Party-Parliamentary Meeting (APPG) was organised by New Europeans UK, as we hold the Secretariat of the Citizens’ Rights APPG.
